A Best Friend Betrayal

    The bright sunlight pierces through Ando's apartment window and shines on his whole room. Ando slowly wakes up and then closes the window with a curtain. His stomach grows loudly. He realizes that he hasn't eat anything since yesterday. Ando slowly waddles through the kitchen and decides to eat bread with strawberry jam. After finish eating, he prepares to go to the university. Ando has short black hair, wears glasses and a jacket, his head is always down, and he barely talks to anyone at the university. None of Ando's classmates try to communicate with him. They thought that Ando didn't want to be disturbed.

    One day, a new student named Chris enroll in the university, become Ando's classmate, and sit next to him. At first, Ando doesn't pay any attention when Chris speaks to him. His eyes gaze off into somewhere, and he sometimes rolls his eyes as if he were annoyed, but Chris keeps talking to Ando and wants to become his friend. Chris's hard work finally pays off. Ando slowly opens up to Chris. They are always together. Ando smiles widely, his white teeth shining with his smile, and for the first time, he starts talking for a long time. He talks with Chris until his throat is dry.

    Day after day, month after month, Ando finally trusts Chris as his best friend. One day in the evening, Ando takes Chris to a place that no one has ever been to in the university. A grassy field, cool breeze wind, chirping birds, and a tall standing pine tree accompany both Chris and Ando. Ando shares his deepest secret with Chris, secrets that no one has ever known. Chris's eyes gaze deeply, he sits straight and focus listening to what Ando said. After they finished talking, they decided to make a "pinky promise," which they swore to keep each other's secrets secret. After finishing the promise, they went back into the class for an assignment.

    However, one day when Ando goes to the university, many people gather around the announcement board. Curious, Ando approaches the announcement board. When Ando arrives, many people give him weird stares. Some of them give a weak laugh as if they are mocking him, and some are whispering behind him. Turns out it was Ando’s secret that is on the announcement board! Most of the people in the university have probably seen it, and Ando’s secret has become a hot topic. Ando knows who is responsible and decides to confront him. Ando finally meets with Chris and asks why his secret is on the university announcement board. Chris tries to laugh it off. He thinks that it’s fun and decided to share it with everyone.

    Ando’s face turns red, his nostrils are wide that Chris can hear his heavy breathing, and his bright white teeth glare at Chris. Ando’s knuckles are red, and his eyes give Chris a deep glare. Chris stands still, he does not dare to move or speak. His hand is moistened, cold sweat drops from his head, both his hand and body are shaking. Ando left the room, leaving Chris behind. After that incident, Chris didn’t show up for a long time at the college, and it turns out he moved to another place. After finishing what he’s doing in college, Ando went back to his apartment. Gloomy clouds in the sky, the sound of rain falling down, and the smell of rain accompanied Ando on that evening. Ando lays in bed, and suddenly tears fall down from his eyes. Ando then said to himself that no one in the world can be trusted except yourself, it is better to live a life alone than have someone you completely trust betray you in the back. The person you trust so much can hurt you so much. After that, he falls asleep, still with tears falling down from his eyes.
