Experience That Makes Me Like Animals
Animals are not just simple creatures that exist together with us, humans. They are a part of our life that brings joy, happiness, and comfort in everyday life. Not only that they are cute, charming, and playful but they are also very expressive and understand our emotions. They are very kind and animals in general love interacting with humans. Sometimes, we can get something that is in animals and not with other humans and that is affection and attention. These are some of the few reasons why I like animals. Sometimes we as a human should appreciate more about animals more and not be cruel to them. I like animals because I have a few experiences of interacting with them. Some of them are welcoming and others need some time to adjust but when they finally do, they become very loyal and willing to become our friends.
The first experience that got me into loving and liking animals is when I was in elementary school. I went into one of my classmate’s houses to play together and at that time he had a baby kitten in his house that was just playing around in the living room. I was scared at that time because I’m afraid that it would attack but my friend convinced me that it was friendly. I tried to pet the cat and I was shocked because it was very gentle. It didn’t attack or become angry at all and at that time I instantly love animals. I ended up petting it most of the time, the cat looks at me with its tender gaze and follow me everywhere around my friend’s house. When my parents came to pick me up, I was sad but my friend told me that I can come anytime and even allowed me to play more with the cat.
Another experience that makes me like animals are around high school. Me and my friend planned to do some assignments together in his house. My friend has a dog and it’s a Husky. I of course was scared and asked if it was okay because I never interacted with a dog. He said it was okay and even said that the dog is friendly. I arrived at his house, and he greet me together with his dog. I was scared to go into his house but again, he convinced me that his dog is friendly. When I look at the dog, it gives a very big smile and waggles its tail. I finally went into his house and worked on the assignment. After finished doing the assignment, we had some free time and I decided to try to interact with the dog. I did not expect that the dog instantly jumped around, gave a big smile, and followed me around even though I was a stranger. I tried to pet it and the dog was very happy. My friend told me to play catch with the dog and when I tried it, I was so happy because the dog is willing to play together with me and even gave me a look like he was saying that he wanted to play more.
Even though my experience with animals is not that many (cats and dogs), I watched many animal contents on social media and my love towards animals becomes stronger. Animals understand human emotions. When we feel sad or cry, they come to us and tried to comfort us until we are happy. Animals give us positive energy to us; they possess strong loyalty and love us unconditionally. They are just the purest creature in the world and always try to protect us from danger. These are the reasons why I like animals and I decide to have a pet dog in the future and will take care of it seriously.
